The Home Loan Process
Lenders: your home buying team
A lender can help you understand financing options, estimate your monthly payment, and prepare to make an offer. We can introduce you to a lender so you can discuss your needs directly.
1. Get preapproved
A loan officer reviews your income, assets, debts, and credit to determine potential loan options. They may ask for pay stubs, W-2s, tax returns, and bank statements. Provide financial documents directly to your lender through their secure process.
2. Application and processing
Once you have a home under contract, your lender helps complete the application and explains fees and down payment requirements. Processing may include an appraisal, title work, and an underwriter’s review. Your lender will explain any additional information needed.
3. Closing
Coordinate homeowners insurance and final closing arrangements with your lender and closing team. At closing you’ll review and sign the required documents and pay the remaining funds due. Your team will confirm when the transaction is complete and you can receive the keys.
